Blackberry Lives On, Launches Last Smartphone 'KEYone' With TCL

BlackBerry has added its own security features, making the phone secure compared to any other Android device.

Both devices come with QWERTY keyboards - the KEYone comes with a keyboard placed under the display, and the Priv comes with a slide-out keyboard that can be slid back under the display for full touch-screen usage.

Having already given a hardware teaser at CES earlier in the year, BlackBerry has now officially outed its next smartphone, the KeyOne, created to tempt the hard-core BlackBerry fans to switch to Android, and invoke serious nostalgia in a serious phone.

For business people who want these features, BlackBerry has built the device. The front shooter her is of 8 MP.

However, what is interesting is that the physical keyboard will allow users to set at least 52 quick launch combinations either by light or long press, such as W for WhatsApp, F for Facebook, E for email and I for Instagram.

Meanwhile, in terms of technical specifications, the BlackBerry KEYone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with the Adreno 506 graphics processing unit (GPU), 3 GB of random-access memory (RAM) and 32 GB of built-in storage. Further, it comes with 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD (up to 2TB).

The BlackBerry KEYone features a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 1,620 x 1,080 pixels and pixel density of 434 pixels per inch (ppi).

Like all BlackBerry phones, the KEYone too has several unique features. But the device has also been renamed, now being dubbed the BlackBerry KEYone. The 60 draws power from a 3,000mAh battery and also sports a fingerprint sensor.

The device is a little bit on the thicker side, but that provides plenty of space for a headphone jack that is placed up top.

The release of the KeyOne marks the end of BlackBerry's days as a hardware manufacturer.

As has been the case with previous devices, the KEYone runs a relatively untouched version of Android Nougat 7.1, complimented by BlackBerry's security and productivity software, like the BlackBerry Hub and DTEK.
