Drake Finally Releases 'More Life' Playlist Project

Eight days later, the final product hit the web, and it's potentially the artist's most cohesive project to date.

The opening track 'Free Smoke' features the line "I drunk text J-Lo / Old number so it bounce back / Boi-1da got the bounce back", suggesting that J-Lo has iced him out since previous year.

Following the release of the project over the weekend, it broke Spotify records. two of them. Reflecting on his humble beginnings, Drake dares his competition to step up and compete with his work but warns that they won't be able to keep up. But when that song, called "Get It Together" played during the More Life drop, Lopez's vocals were replaced by those of little known United Kingdom singer Jorja Smith. "Madiba Riddim" 7. "Blem" 8.

The artist, born Aubrey Graham, kept pushing "More Life" back, teasing listeners with clues while saying he considered it more a playlist custom-made for streaming music services than a traditional album.

The macho hollers surrounding trap track "Gyalchester" are laughable to begin with, and that's before Drake jumps in with ultra-weak boasts like, "I don't take naps/Me and the money are way too attached to go and do that".

Quavo's appearance here on Drake's "Portland" is full of flutes and has sparked many a meme... With a feature from British rapper Giggs, the MC steals the show with his second verse. More Life leapfrogs from dancehall and grime to moody R&B and beats built from elementary school recorders.
