It's hard to make out the shape of the person because it's just a black blop in the sand, but it looks an bad lot like Noctis lying there. The free update includes the addition of cutscenes to improve chapter 13's story experience along with 2 different playable routes, more powerful ring magic, and opening previously inaccessible parts of the map. There are still a few restrictions, including currency caps and chat restrictions, of course. The new version of the trial extends to new and lapsed players alike and doesn't limit you in anything until you reach level 35.

The news comes via an announcement on Lodestone, the game's blog: "the 14-day limitation on the free trial has been removed and the adventure can continue for as long as you want!" It added two new tracks from Episode Gladiolus to the music player list, and it also added the compatibility with the upcoming DLC. Also included with the new DLC are two new gameplay modes called Score Attack and Final Trial which are unlocked once the DLC storyline is completed. You'll be able to link up with friends and randoms, visit the Deep Dungeon, and take advantage of the cross-platform play between PC and PlayStation 4.
