Trump Rebuts Criticism of Yemen Raid in Address to Congress

Carryn Owens, the widow of William "Ryan" Owens, who died in a U.S. Special Ops raid in Yemen last month, was brought to tears by a two-minute standing ovation during Trump's speech.

Trump was asked about Owens' father, who has said he does not want to talk to Trump and is demanding an investigation in to the raid.

Carryn Owens, seated next to First Daughter Ivanka Trump as one of the President's guests for the evening, softly smiled and mouthed, "Thank you", as the room gave a standing ovation. For as the Bible teaches us, there is no greater act of love than to lay down one's life for one's friends. "And we will never forget Ryan".

Bill Maher and Michael Moore were not moved by Donald Trump's tribute to a deceased Navy SEAL and his surviving wife during the President's congressional speech on Tuesday night. "And they lost Ryan".

Although the Pentagon said the Navy SEAL raid secured laptops, hard drives and mobile phones, multiple United States officials told NBC News none of the intelligence gained has been actionable or vital. He refused to meet with the President when the family received the remains. There's certainly much to be said about policy-Will Trump endorsing tax credits have an effect on Congress's Obamacare plans? He said that the commandos had captured "important intelligence that will assist the preventing terrorism against its citizens and people around the world", the New York Times reported.

Simultaneous Taliban attacks kill at least 16 in Kabul
The gunfire was concentrated to a district police headquarters located near a military training school, Reuters reports. The carnage underscores rising insecurity from the resurgent Taliban in the war-scarred country.

"This was something that was, you know, just - they wanted to do", Trump was quoted as saying. He made the call, although to hear him tell it, they did.

"According to [Defense Secretary] General [James] Mattis, it was a very successful mission", Trump said during a segment of Fox and Friends.

The Pentagon and White House have both maintained that plenty of usable intelligence was produced by the January 29 raid, which the Defense Department classified as a "site exploitation mission", or an information-gathering effort. I've seen that face as they've stood beside his casket, as they were handed a carefully-folded flag, and as they watched as a son and brother's coffin was lowered into the ground.

The success of the raid has been publicly debated, and the White House has continued to defend the operation.
