'Iron Fist' Not As Bad as Critics First Take

Iron Fist is not that Netflix series for which fans was waiting for, the series has dissapoint many of Netflix fans.

Late last week, Inverse published an interview Roy Thomas, co-creator with Gil Kane of the comic book character Danny Rand a.k.a.

Prior to the premiere of Iron Fist, numerous people pushed for a change to the character of Danny Rand.

Jones recently revealed that he briefly quit Twitter after he spoke out in favour of increasing diversity on screen and was accused of hypocrisy.

As for what is in fact onscreen, Ms. Ryan writes that "even if you can put aside issues of cultural appropriation - and the ham-fisted "Iron Fist" doesn't make that easy, given that it feeds its yoga-bro lead character a series of inert lines about Shaolin wisdom and Buddhist teachings - this superhero drama just feels inessential". "I try not to think about it too much", said Thomas. It would be 2am, 3am, I'd just done a long day of work, and usually the stunt department would come up and say 'Hey, right, we've got this huge 30 person fight and you've got to learn it right now.' So I was learning it on the spot, within 15-20 minutes, and then shooting it. She added: "It was a discussion I had to have with myself where I know the community I come from was thinking one thing and it was like, 'Do I want to be a part of show that's already getting criticism?'" Thomas, who wasn't involved in the new series, bashed the debate over cultural appropriation, saying it's "crap". "This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together".

When people first heard that "Iron Fist" was going to get its very own Netflix show, everyone thought that it would be a martial arts master kicking some butt out of New York's hoodlums and vagabonds.

"And I said 'Actually Benedict I'm testing tomorrow for [Netflix series] Iron Fist", and he went 'Oh right, ok, great!' And then pulled out his phone and started typing away on his phone.

Thomas insists that "Iron Fist" was was never meant to be "racist or degrading to a sex or race, an ethnic group" and that he would have been comfortable if Netflix would have cast a non-Caucasian actor for the role.

"On the other hand, if they had decided to make Iron Fist an Asian, that would have been fine with me, too". Yet, "Iron Fist" isn't invulnerable, and is easily the worst thing Marvel has ever produced. One of those people was a star of Iron Fist, Jessica Henwick, who plays Colleen Wing. What's particularly bothersome about Iron Fist, though, is there's no struggle. Particularly why I'm pretty sure I can kick and punch better than most of what I saw Iron Fist doing in the series. People are like, "Yo, this was a ideal opportunity to represent us". Also, I hope I don't need to remind you that the martial arts have deep roots throughout Asia.
