Target's Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Promotion Is Turning Stores Into Race Tracks

While you can pre-order your copy of Mario Kart 8 online, or any time after its release, you only have a couple weeks to get in the game for Target store's limited time Mario experience.

Brick and mortar stores remain the best options for most fans, however, tracking down a unit can still take time. It adds another layer of depth to the fan favourite franchise, making your character choices in the games many modes and racetracks all the more meaningful. There are over 40 unique characters in the game, tons of unlockable vehicle parts, over two dozen weapons, and a number of battle modes. Are there enough updates and tweaks to make the game worth purchasing again for the Switch? Either way, if Market Kart 8 Deluxe Edition were to make an appearance on Xbox One, it would probably smash charts for quite a while.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be released this Friday on April 28.

When Mario Kart8 Deluxe released in 2014, it was one of the best classics, it's even better now on Switch. The Mario Kart gods have brought back the Boo item which allows you to steal items and the feather which allows you to jump higher.

Example: Four people can play, each person using one left Joy-Con and one right Joy-Con controller. This mode is explosive fun as you time your bomb drops to catch an unsuspecting opponent, or blindly toss a long-distance bomb in hopes it hits a rival racer.
