Donald Trump Slams at Stephen Colbert

Jon Stewart, Samantha Bee, John Oliver, Rob Corddry and Ed Helms joined Colbert on stage to watch clips of their early field pieces and to discuss the political satire they mainstreamed. We got a farcical flashback to Colbert's last day at Stewart's Daily Show-starring Bee in an wonderful curly wig as she worries about losing then-president George W. Bush, saying "there will never be another president this good for comedy".

Stewart ended on a yogurt-infused sitcom-father speech, to cap off the nostalgia. "In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin's c-k holster", he continued. Colbert opened his Monday show last week with a string of insults directed at Trump, as payback for the insults Trump had tossed at CBS News' John Dickerson during a televised interview that morning. Colbert chastised the crowd for having initially cheered for the news, which Stewart compared to people who first learn how to surf and catch a wave, only to fall in a heap.

"While I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation, I nevertheless concur with judgment of the Department of Justice that you are not able to effectively lead the Bureau".

But regardless of the potential consequences, Stewart and Colbert continue to just be two jesters unafraid to make fun of the king.

"The things that you say - even if they're crass or even if they in some ways are not respectful enough to the office of the presidency...." With the help of all of the others, he presents a skit of his "last day" as a correspondent for The Daily Show in 2005. "But might I say, I learned it from you, Dad", Colbert replied.

Colbert has been riding high in the ratings, eclipsing Jimmy Fallon as the most popular late-night host since Trump's inauguration with a steady stream of ridicule for the new president.
