Pulis vows to keep title race 'alive'; ready to fight Chelsea

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has claimed that his side deserve to win the Premier League this season having moved to within one win of the title.

Asked what he had said to his players following the Middlesbrough win, Conte replied: "The message was now we need to take another step". Despite the handful of wins, Sunderland were defeated home and away.

Fabregas urged Chelsea to wrap up the Premier League title on Friday with a win over West Bromwich Albion. They won't get an easy game when they come to The Hawthorns on Friday.

Having started the season in awful form, following a write-off of a season, Chelsea found their mojo when Antonio Conte shifted to a back three and since then, their season has taken only one trajectory.

Despondent Middlesbrough head coach Steve Agnew revealed the team's dressing room was "devastated" after the 3-0 defeat at Chelsea confirmed their relegation.

The Chelsea striker was also seen waving to the fans after his goal, leaving them to speculate over his future.

Fabregas reached the milestone in the 65th minute of Monday's game at Stamford Bridge, teeing up Nemanja Matic for his first ever goal at Stamford Bridge.

Conte believes Chelsea overcame their greatest challenge when defeat at Jose Mourinho's Manchester United last month cut their lead to four points over Tottenham, who the Blues then beat in the FA Cup semi-final. From top to bottom we haven't been good enough.

"Everyone went out and enjoyed themselves and there was a little bit of pressure off, although that can sometimes be bad when you relax and don't do the right things".

I will play for the team and play for the club.

'We started this season with three wins, but honestly...

Middlesbrough needed something from the game to keep their faint hopes of surviving this season flickering but an inept performance meant they are destined to play in the Championship next term. "I still think sport has to encourage initiative and, if it rewards too much teams who don't take initiative, then we have to rethink the whole process because people will not, forever, come to watch teams who do not want to take the initiative", he said.

"Now we have three chances to exploit, to become champions".
