The Warriors established a 2-0 lead in the series with a 132-113 win in Game 2 on Sunday night.

The first two games of the 2017 NBA Finals have been played at Golden State.

They moved to the brink of that with a 118-113 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

Meanwhile, Kevin Durant has been dominant in both meetings with Cleveland and not just at the offensive end, too. Golden State's only competition is with Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan and the Bulls, and other great teams from the past.

The third game will have the Cleveland Cavaliers welcoming the visiting Golden State Warriors on to their home court on Wednesday, June 7, at 9 p.m. EDT. That gave the Warriors a lead they held the rest of the way. "A lot of things you can't do defensively by having K.D. on the floor", Lue said. "He's been an fantastic player in this league for a long time, and he senses this is his time, his moment, his team".

With their 15th straight win, the Warriors have the longest postseason streak for any team in the four major professional sports. Kerr stated that basketball is a player's game and because of the team's talent they would have been successful with or without him. No team in the NBA's history has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in a Final's series.

"All I was looking at was the bottom of the net", Durant said. "I don't want to relax". "I've had a few bad tastes in my mouth from what happened in the Finals, so and I've always had that feeling so it never changed for me".

Kevin Durant delivered what turned out to be a dagger 3-pointer to give the Warriors a one-point lead on the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Andre Iguodala made sure it would hold up.

If not for their meltdown past year, the Warriors, whose record-setting 73-win season got lost in the Finals aftermath, would be looking for a third straight crown. "I think we have grown and matured just mentally of how to just pace yourself through this long year and take every day as a new experience and something that you can kind of take control of".

Will the Cavs be able to slow the Warriors down?

"It's probably the most, most firepower I've played in my career", James said. "I saw he (James) was playing his heels behind the 3-point line". To see that go in, that was liberating, man.

"We obviously know how hard it is to win a championship, what all goes into it and how important each game is".

Durant, though, was not going to be denied. Stephen Curry added 32 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists.

The game became one sided in the third quarter when the Warriors began to take full advantage of their talented roster. The half concluded with the Warriors leading 67-61.
