The two escaped inmates sought in the killings of two guards on a Georgia prison bus were captured Thursday in Tennessee after holding an elderly couple captive and leading police on a chase by vehicle and foot, authorities said.

Surrounded by law enforcement officers, Ricky Dubose and Donnie Rowe were handcuffed and lying face down on a residential driveway in Central Tennessee.

Once the man confirms the police are on their way again, he says he will be waiting for them outside his home. Authorities in Georgia have released another photo of Dubose, showing prominent tattoos.

A Georgia sheriff says it's too early to tell when two inmates accused in the killings of two guards on a prison bus will be returned to the state after their capture in Tennessee. Police were alerted through a 911 call by a couple who said the fugitives held them captive in their home.

Hale added the men took off their shirts and starting waving them at him in an attempt to get him to slow down.

Rowe, 43, and Dubose, 24, along with 31 other prisoners were headed to the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison, some 45 miles west of Eatonton, which is about half way between Atlanta and Augusta.

Rowe and Dubose made their first appearance while in Rutherford County custody Friday, waiving their extradition to Georgia. "So I'm totally grateful to everyone involved". Reportedly, the hero who finally stopped the men noticed them trying to take his vehicle and held them at gunpoint. Both are being sought by law enforcement.
