Queen's Speech outlines United Kingdom government proposal for 'new digital charter'

Following her general election disaster, the Prime Minister was forced to jettison a succession of promises from the Conservative manifesto.

Labour sources have rejected claims that Jeremy Corbyn snubbed the Queen by not bowing to her at the state opening of parliament, arguing that it was against protocol for MPs to do so.

The speech is very different from past years, such the 2015 speech for Prime Minister David Cameron's government, which pledged to give the security services more surveillance powers to tackle the online communications of terrorists, paedophiles and other serious criminals.

The vast Brexit agenda lays the ground for years of Parliamentary warfare as Remain supporters will have hundreds of opportunities to challenge and defy the Government.

"My government's priority is to secure the best possible deal as the country leaves the European Union", the queen told lawmakers.

Amid continuing talks with the Democratic Unionists about them supporting Mrs May's government, a Downing Street spokesman said it was confident the Queen's Speech could "command the confidence" of the House of Commons in a vote next week. But it omits key parts of the manifesto Ms May campaigned on, including the so-called dementia tax, which would have made old people pay for the cost of their social care until the value of their assets was reduced to £100,000.

Vettel accused Hamilton of "check braking" him on a restart, causing Vettel to run into the back of Hamilton's then-leading auto . But with fresher tires, it was just a matter of time before Harvick chased him down. "It was fun", Keselowski said.

Only now, as the gears of Parliament slowly begin turning again, starting with the Queen's Speech, is the true scale of the consequences for the whole country becoming apparent.

It will work closely with the government on its plans for a digital charter and counter extremism measures.

"The formality is that you can not put the presidential visit in [the Queen's Speech] until the date has been agreed". The UK's independent trade policy will be supported by new bills on trade and customs, the Queen added.

The speech says that aside from those it chooses to relax the rules for, people wanting to come to the United Kingdom after Brexit and their family members will be "subject to relevant United Kingdom law".

Also worth noting is something the Queen didn't say: Her address usually mentions all the upcoming state visits, but as she didn't mention Donald Trump, it's expected his trip has been canceled.

She was accompanied by son and heir Prince Charles rather than husband Duke of Edinburgh, after he was admitted to hospital as a "precautionary measure" last night. "That was pushed back as a result of the election", Johnson explained.
