A plane is on its top at the Dayton International Airport after practicing for the Vectren Dayton Air Show on June 23, 2017 in Dayton, Ohio.

A Thunderbird F-16D Fighting Falcon jet flipped over on the runway while taxiing, and two people were reported trapped in the plane.

The airport isn't just dealing with an emergency service situation, it also has inclement weather bogging down transportation.

"Heavy rain was falling at the time of the incident at the Dayton International Airport", AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Alex Sosnowski said.

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are the headlining act for the annual Dayton Air Show, which is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

A photographer for WHIOTV said the two-seat Thunderbird landed and was taxing toward the staging area when it appeared a gust of wind flipped the jet. Authorities say one of the pilots has been extricated from the plane.

Reed says there was no immediate report of any fuel leaks.
