Chelsea's Diego Costa 'holding up Romelu Lukaku move to frustrate Antonio Conte'

The only problem for Chelsea now, according to BBC journalist Richard Askam is the player's entourage are exhausted of how Chelsea treated Lukaku and prefer he joins Man United.

Lukaku, of course, moved to Everton on loan from Chelsea back in 2013 and it is a return to west London that is considered the most likely outcome for the striker this summer, with Betfair Sportsbook offering 8/15 (1.53) that the big Belgian joins the Blues for a second time.

Conte believes that Lukaku is the flawless striker to play in his system next season, and is even willing to cash in on Diego Costa to make way for the Toffees star. Askam posted his views on social media site Twitter to share the information.

According to the Telegraph, his former club Chelsea and Mourinho's Manchester United are believed to be interested in securing his services.

The 24-year-old scored 25 Premier League goals for Ronald Koeman's team last season, but the Belgian global seems set to call time on his Everton career - and there is no shortage of competition for his signature.

Jose Mourinho still wants Romelu Lukaku - even if he brings in Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.

Koeman has been very busy in the transfer market, signing Jordan Pickford, Davy Klassen, Sandro Ramirez and Henry Onyekuru, while the club are also expected to complete the signing of Michael Keane, as reported by Sky Sports.

With both clubs in an interesting scenario, fans will have to wait for a while to get a clear picture as to where the Belgian star striker will eventually end up.
