Sevilla agree to sell captain Vicente Iborra to Leicester in £15m deal

Premier League club Leicester City are about to secure the signing for Sevilla midfielder Vicente Iborra for a reported sum of £12m, according to the Independent. The 29 year-old Spanish midfielder will move to the Foxes in a reported £12 million deal. Having joined Sevilla in 2013 from Levante, he has made 172 appearances and scored 30 goals.

Iborra - who scored eight goals in 41 appearances for Sevilla last season, while also racking up two assists - is expected to command a £12m fee and would nearly double his wages if he signs for the Foxes, as reported by the same Independent article, and the midfielder is open to a switch to the Midlands.

"Iborra has shown exemplary behaviour in his time at the club and has won the unanimous respect and love of all Sevilla fans", Sevilla said in a statement.

Iborra is also composed in possession, as demonstrated by the fact that he was successful with 82% of the passes that he attempted in La Liga last season. "Once the operation concludes, he will return to Seville to publicly bid farewell to the fans".
