DOOM VFR and Fallout 4 VR now have release dates

Fallout 4 will release on December 12th, 2017, for HTC Vive and PlayStation VR.

Fallout 4 VR would debut on the HTC Vive, Skyrim VR would arrive for the PSVR, and Doom VFR (we all know that the "F" stands for) would be available on both platforms. In the video, and an accompanying blog post, the game publisher revealed the launch dates for three of its upcoming AAA VR titles, and detailed various other game reveals and events that are lined up. We are used to this for games consoles, but investing in VR kit is much more expensive. It's fairly easy to imagine how all three will play in VR, though Doom VFR in particular should be a very intense affair.

Even though two of the three games here are simple ports to virtual reality, they'll likely all sell well.

Bethesda has announced today that Skyrim VR will launch on the Playstation Network on the 17th of November.

So if you're into VR games, don't miss out on this line-up. "Fallout 4 VR" is scheduled to launch on December 12. Skyrim VR was only announced for PSVR, and it looks like - at least for the time being - it's going to be an exclusive.

This development comes ahead of QuakeCon 2017, which is usually where Bethesda makes such big announcement. Not only are DOOM and Fallout 4 making their way to VR but Skyrim is also getting a new version to take advantage of this technology. For attendees, the event is scheduled to take place between August 24 and 27 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center.
