Having been the subject of countless leaks itself, the Note 8 will finally see the light of day on August 23rd in NYC, where Samsung will host an Unpacked event to reveal the phone. Samsung believes that the Galaxy S9 will have enough new features likes an improved iris scanner, dual-cameras become a hot-seller, come 2018. The look on the other side of the device, though, received mostly positive reviews like "pretty as hell" and "absolutely stunning".

This Google trends graph (via BGR) comparing the traffic for keywords "iPhone 8" and "Galaxy Note 8" shows that consumer anticipation for Apple's flagship phone is much higher than the Note 8. With the Galaxy Note 8, it is expected to do even better and leave its history with the Note 7 behind.

Samsung has been coming out with two flagship phones every year.

Samsung will also switch from Synaptics to Egis at the time of the Note's release to supply the company with fingerprint sensors on the Galaxy Note 9. Market rumors are saying that the Galaxy Note 8 premium smartphone would be fitted with a 6.3-inch AMOLED display and dual rear cameras, becoming the first Galaxy Note series applying dual cameras and the largest screen.
