LFP slams Tebas' critique of PSG, Neymar

Having compared the various income streams of Europe's major clubs, Tebas asked: "PSG has a lot more from sponsorship than Manchester United but how can this be possible? We can not let them get away with this", he said at the Soccerex conference in Manchester.

Tebas even suggested that PSG can buy La Liga star players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the future.

"Mr Tebas's statements are ill-informed and in parts pure fiction", said City Football Group (CFG), which owns the Manchester club, in a statement to local media.

Tebas has gone on record as saying that he was considering taking legal action against both PSG and Manchester City but has now backtracked slightly on that, saying he would ideally like UEFA to be the prosecuting body rather than go to the relevant courts in Brussels dealing with competition law.

"Uefa and other institutions, the European Union, need to carry out investigations".

But he made it clear that in his opinion, the spirit of FFP was being broken by the mindboggling deals being done by PSG and City, who spent around €700 million between them in the summer.

The blast was the most powerful yet from a North Korean nuclear explosion and Pyongyang said the test was a "complete success". He later floated the idea that the USA could halt all trade with nations that did not sever economic links with North Korea.

City Football Group completed the purchase of 44.3 percent of the Liga club last month, and five of Pep Guardiola's players are spending the season at Girona: midfielder Douglas Luiz, winger Marlos Moreno, midfielder Aleix Garcia, full-back Pablo Maffeo and striker Olarenwaju Kayode.

Despite Tebas' request for City to also be investigated, Uefa confirmed on Tuesday that there is now no open investigation into the club's adherence to FFP.

"This is when the football clubs have competitive advantage not coming from club itself. If we don't control the situation the whole industry will become destructured". They [Uefa] have created the financial fair play rules and we think these rules have been infringed. They were set a limit of 80m euros to spend on their squad by La Liga following an assessment of the club's financial position.

Neymar is one of the crown jewels in world football, both as a player and a commercial force, and neither Barcelona nor La Liga are happy that he was lured away against their will.

Sky Sports News reported earlier on Monday that City were confident they would not face an investigation and that the club said they were not close to breaching FFP rules and would have had enough room in their budget to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in the summer.

He claimed: "If there is too much money in the market, prices go up". They are laughing at the system.
