A reporter detailed graphic incident with Harvey Weinstein amid sexual harassment controversy

Former Fox News reporter Lauren Sivan told The Huffington Post on Friday that the influential producer once trapped her in the hallway of a restaurant during a private event and masturbated in front of her until he ejaculated.

The former TV journalist said she remained silent over the years out of fear of retaliation due to Weinstein's clout in the media industry.

The allegations come in the wake of an explosive New York Times report on what they say is Weinstein's storied career of sexual abuse and assault of women close to him.

Mr. Weinstein was not available to be interviewed for the Huffington Post's report, his attorney told the new site. Now, a former reporter for News 12 says that Weinstein essentially trapped her in a deserted NYC restaurant and masturbated in front of her.

Sivan quickly ended the phone conversation, reminding Weinstein that she had a boyfriend. Weinstein then allegedly undid his trousers and started masturbating in front of her.

Sivan said she reluctantly accepted the offer, with her friend remarking that if she wasn't back in 10 minutes she would come get her.

Once they got to the restaurant's kitchen, Weinstein sent away a few employees who were cleaning up. According to multiple women who spoke to HuffPost on the condition of anonymity who said they had similar experiences with Weinstein, he has started out meetings or interactions with other people in the room and then dismissed them to be alone with women in order to make advances.

In response to that article, MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski wanted it to be known that she not only wanted Weinstein to resign but that she would back out of her three-book deal with Weinstein Books if he didn't. The studio exec reportedly responded by saying, "Well, can you just stand there and shut up". The incident in the vestibule didn't last long.

By the time she headed toward the kitchen, Sivan and Weinstein had emerged, the friend said. Initially blocked by a security guard, he eventually let her downstairs into the cafe.

But it didn't end there: Weinstein allegedly called Sivan the next day to say he'd had "a great time" and asked if she'd like to meet up with him once he was back from some travel.

As Weinstein left for an indefinite absence from work, one-third of his company's board members submitted their resignation.
