NYPD Swarms Manhattan Block in Search for Shooter at Construction Site
Police say a former worker shot and killed the foreman of a construction site Thursday morning on Manhattan's west side. Workers who fled when the shooting occurred piled out into the street to watch as police and firefighters arrived.

The child's father was arrested for Abandoning or Endangering a Child. Matthews' bond is set at $250,000. Matthews told police that he had previously seen coyotes in the alley, although the local Humane Society has stressed that coyote attacks on humans are vanishingly rare, with only two fatal attacks recorded since the 1980s. A CPS spokeswoman, Marissa Gonzales, said the agency has had dealings with the family before, but she declined to release additional information. He said authorities are casting a broad net in determining what happened to the girl. She has black hair and brown eyes.

"She is approximately 36" tall and weighs about 22 pounds. The girl's mother was also allegedly interviewed by police on Sunday.

"Why was the last sighting at 3 o'clock and the parents not call us until after 8 a.m., that's the question we want answered", Richardson police spokesperson Sgt. Kevin Perlich told the Dallas Morning News. She was last seen wearing black leggings, a pink long-sleeve shirt and pink flip-flops.

"That does not seem like a normal response that one would do if you have a missing child", Perlich said.
