Its most useful subscription plan will see an even larger increase in its price.

Netflix will begin sending 30-day notices of the price hikes on October 19.

The company's mid-range plan, which allows streaming on two devices at the same time, was increased to $10.99 per month from $9.99. The basic plan that offers a single SD stream will stay at $7.99 a month.

The price change will roll out to us members over the course of the next several months, according to Netflix. On Thursday it was reported that Netflix plans to raise prices on both it's middle and top tiers in November. In the second quarter of 2017, Netflix added 5.2 million new subscribers-1.07 million in the USA and 4.14 million internationally-putting it way out in front of its estimated 3.2 million total subscriber adds. That's a two dollar increase from the current $11.99 monthly rate. However, the "standard plan", which gives users HD and two simultaneous streams, the price will go up from $9.99 to $10.99 per month.

Netflix now has almost 104 million subscribers. The successful streaming giant has invested $7 billion in content for the next year, according to The Wrap, while companies like Hulu "only" have $2.5 billion invested in content for their streaming services.
