A tropical storm warning is in effect for all areas from Sandy Bay Sirpi, Nicaragua to Punta Castilla, Honduras.

The storm could bring up to 20 inches of rain in Nicaragua Thursday, while forecasts predicted it would pass over the Yucatan Peninsula near Cancun on Friday. The official forecast track now takes Nate to the Central Gulf Coast, possibly near New Orleans, before turning northeast and quickly weakening to a tropical storm as it tracks through MS and Alabama.
