Disney/Pixars 1999 animated hit previously held the record with 164 “fresh” reviews, while Lady Bird, starring Saoirse Ronan and Laurie Metcalf, has since racked up 170 - much to writer/director Gerwigs excitement. The New York Times described Ronan as 'one of the most formidable actors in movies today' in their review of the title.

We don't know how to put this, but Lady Bird is kind of a big deal.
