According to reports, a smartphone codenamed TA-1054 managed to gain TENAA certification, a mandatory requirement for telecommunications devices, and is believed to be a dual-SIM variation of the 2018 iteration of the Nokia 6. The Nokia 6 (2018) already surfaced on TENAA, which means that it will launch in the upcoming months. Carrying forward the design language of Nokia 7, this device will also be donning reduced bezels.

In the camera department, as per the report, the Nokia 6 (2018) will come with a dual rear camera setup. The company will offer the same 5.5-inch display but this time with smaller bezels which will reduce the overall form factor. The puny Snapdragon 430 SoC which powers the current Nokia 6 could be replaced by the Snapdragon 630 or 660.

Last week, we came across a report suggesting that HMD Global might be prepping to launch the second generation Nokia 6 in the next year. It is expected to be launched on January 19 alongside the Nokia 9 and the 2018 edition of this year's flagship Nokia 8. Keeping in line with the big display trend of 2017, the new version of Nokia 6 could sport an 18:9 display. What exactly the Nokia 9 will do to set itself apart from the updated models of older Nokia phones remains to be seen. The phone comes with a 5.5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels at a PPI of 403 pixels per inch. HMD Global will most probably launch the smartphone during the MWC 2018 in late February with availability around April.

TENAA has now updated the listing along with images of the much-awaited mid-range smartphone. The current gen Nokia 6 also has 32GB of internal storage similar to the Nokia 6 (2018). Nokia 6 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is backed by a 3000mAh non removable battery. The feature allows users to use both the front and rear cameras simultaneously.
