Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have had quite the week.

They are also set to meet with teachers from Nottingham Academy later in the day, along with local students and those involved in the Full Effect programme.

It's Meghan-mania! Prince Harry and his new fiancée, Meghan Markle, stepped out for their first royal engagement as a couple on Friday, Dec. 1.

"We're so happy for them both", Mary Cooper, 60, said.

Harry has become a prominent campaigner on the issue, following in the footsteps of Diana who opened Britain's first HIV/AIDS unit in London in 1987 and famously shook hands with and kissed an AIDS patient during a hospital visit.

"I personally believe that it all comes down to their own style", Jamie Samhan, deputy editor of Royal Central, tells HuffPost Canada.

Queen Elizabeth's grandson Harry, 33, now fifth-in-line to the throne, and US actress Markle, 36, best known for her leading role in USA legal drama "Suits", announced their engagement on Monday, igniting a trans-Atlantic media frenzy.

Traditionally Royal weddings take place take place during the week but reportedly Meghan and Harry want to avoid their wedding coinciding with any other occasions that week.

Kensington Palace hasn't announced any more engagements for the couple yet. "After all, they are still in the honeymoon stage of their relationship!"

The event, held by the Terrence Higgins Trust, remembers lives lost to HIV and marks the progress made in fighting it.

But it marks the first formal visit by the couple in what will be a six-month tour of the United Kingdom, allowing the American former actress to get to know her new home.

On Tuesday it was confirmed that Markle will step down from her charitable duties working with World Vision Canada and as a United Nations women's advocate so that she can start her new royal life with a clean slate.

And one last pic of them together, because I know you're living for it.
