Land Rover is building a two-door Range Rover

Land Rover is returning to its roots with confirmation it will build a limited run of two-door uber SUVs. It'll be called the Range Rover SV Coupe, and Land Rover is dubbing it the "world's first full-size luxury SUV coupe".

The auto maker has released a teaser photo which shows the interior of the new Range Rover SV Coupe, as yet there are no pictures of the outside of this new SUV.

There are also rumours that a plug-in hybrid powertrain will make its way into the two-door Range Rover, with a 300PS petrol engine and 85kW electric motor delivering a combined 404PS. Expect a hand-assembled interior that'll feature four huge leather seats, handstitched quilted fabrics and a wood finished centre console that'll stretch from the front to the rear of the vehicle. "This is a vehicle that will resonate on an emotional level", said in a statement Gerry McGovern, Land Rover Chief Design Officer.

USA could soon be world's largest oil producer
OPEC will need to consider its response any United States production increase at its next meeting, in June 2018. Total non-OPEC supply is now seen rising by 1.2 million bpd, up 160,000 bpd from its previous estimate.

The SUV's wood-finished transmission tunnel extends from the bottom of the centre console to the rear, covering the space where a middle seat would be, and houses a pair of storage compartments and leather armrest.

The spy shots of the vehicle reportedly showed that the exterior design will stick closely to the four-door with an extended pair of front doors, and a familiar boxy profile. Land Rover are celebrating their 70th Anniversary this year. At the interior, the manufacturer opted for different colors for the front and back seats, just as seen in the official image released today.

Inside, meanwhile, the SV Coupe will certainly be striking. Details now available include a two-door body style, a seating capacity for four, a limited run of 999 units (all of which will be hand-assembled by SVO in the UK), and "seductive" styling.
