Scott Baio accused of molesting star as a child

He played an audio recording of an interview Eggert gave to, in which she described losing her virginity to Baio "way after" "Charles in Charge" was done.

Late, when challenged by a man on Twitter who claimed she was not a child when the alleged incident is said to have happened, Nicole hit back.

"It started when I was 14", Eggert tweeted.

A person who said he worked on the set of Charles in Charge posted a tweet in support of Eggert, claiming he was aware of the alleged sexual misconduct. She asserted that Baio sexually abused her between the ages of 14 and 17, and in one reply to a Twitter user, she asked, "What is ur explanation for him fingering me at age 14?"

In a Facebook Live video, Baio said that Eggert had shopped the story to TMZ and Dr. Oz but those outlets decided not to move forward due to evidence he presented to them that he claims debunks Eggert's allegations.

"The reason I'm doing Facebook Live is because no one can edit me".

She wrote: " I was 14, 15, 16 and 17.

He acknowledged that he and Eggert did have sex but claimed that it was consensual and that she would have been at least 18, or possibly 19 or 20, at the time of their encounter.

"Now, any normal, heterosexual, red-blooded, American guy, the outcome would have been the same, the same thing would have happened", he said.

He then complained that Eggert first made false molestation claims against him in 2012 - when she was promoting reality shows in which she was appearing - and he opted at the time to keep his "mouth shut", assuming she'd stop on her own. "I know you're telling the truth and I'm so glad to see you speaking out".

In response, Baio's wife, Renee Baio, tweeted that his legal team had served Eggert with two cease-and-desist letters. The actor posted pictures to Twitter of a script which he said proved she was already over 18. "She's my best friend in the world, then all of a sudden I'm the bogeyman", Baio ended his Facebook Live stream.

"The problem with nearly all he said/she said cases is they're he said/she said", Baio told the camera. "Now, go prove it or disprove it... the real problem with this is people with legitimate claims aren't taken seriously, and that's too bad".
