Thankfully, the damage has been minorly mitigated with the announcement in this morning's Nintendo Direct that Luigi will officially be entering Super Mario Odyssey as part of the game's first free DLC. Once players download the free update and complete the main story, Balloon World will become available.

In "Hide It", players will hide balloons within a 30 second time limit throughout the different worlds of Odyssey. While it may not be a new kingdom like some were hoping, we're not going to look a free update in the mouth. Players will be ranked by their ability to find and hide balloons, trying to set the highest scores they possibly can. It's great to see Nintendo continue to support one of the greater games in its series, Super Mario Sunshine! Will you be giving Balloon World a go?
