Snapchat Launches Additional GIF Support With New GIPHY Partnership

Snapchat has recently released some new features to its app after a major redesign that company introduced earlier this month, Snapchat's is now presenting GIF stickers feature with the help of Giphy's collection, the feature that looks like a copied version of Facebook-owned Instagram.

Snapchat is rolling out a library of animated stickers that you can place on your snaps. Well, Snapchat has too rolled out a new feature, which does exactly that. Although we blame Snapchat for cloning Instagram, these GIFs in stories are only the best thing ever, so we don't exactly mind it so much.

"With the release of the new Snapchat update, many users have found that it has not made the app easier to use, but has in fact made many features more hard", the petition reads.

Snpachat users who have had the app for years are used to taking a Snap and then swiping through the filters to add the temperature label.

Fox News launching streaming service, no cable subscription required
The cable news network is planning to a launch a standalone subscription service by the end of the year, called Fox Nation. Fox Nation is the latest effort from a traditional TV company to dip its toes into the streaming video waters.

As with Instagram, the stickers can also be pinned to a part of the snap to have them move, rotate or scale along with what they're attached to. On top of that, Snapchat folks have added two new tabs: Friends and Discover. With this feature, users will be able to separate out items for easier discovery and browsing, especially among the huge Discover content section. That being said, Tabs will still only be added to the new update, and are unlikely to solve all of users' complaints.

If you haven't noticed by now, the recent redesign launched for Snapchat hasn't gone over very well.

Snapchat's response came after more than 1.2 million users signed a petition on, demanding that the company undo its recent design changes. But, millions of users have rejected the decision by signing online petitions.

However, Snap essentially goes on in its reply to say tough luck, echoing comments made by CEO Evan Spiegel last week.
