Alongside the A6, Audi showed off the new E-Tron Prototype all-electric crossover. The production version of the Audi e-tron launches on the European market at the end of 2018. It depicts the prowess of the company to build electric cars in the future, based on this platform. At that rate, it's claimed it can charge most of its battery in just 30 minutes.

The German Marque is testing the pre-series vehicles for customer-focused operation in all climate zones ranging from below -20 to above +50 degrees Celsius (-4° to +122° F). In addition, intensive tests of the charging technology are being conducted worldwide - an important safeguarding criterion for battery-electric models.

Audi wasn't willing to reveal any new specs for the e-tron but hinted at a range of at least 250 miles.
