Police sources said the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) had abducted the youth and his father, Abdul Gafar Bhat, from Hajin on Wednesday.

According to official sources, recent incidents of terror strikes on local residents in Hajin have raised many an eyebrows within the security establishment. "The body of Manzoor Ahmed Bhat, who was abducted by Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists on the intervening night of April 4 and 5, was found on the outskirts of Hajin early today (Friday)", the spokesperson added. But the gunmen took his son with him and subsequently murdered him. On Monday too the terrorists had stormed into the house of Farooq Ahmad Parrey and started firing randomly.

In an emailed statement, LeT spokesman Dr Abdullah Ghaznawi said outfit's chief Mahmood Shah has strongly condemned the brutal killing of youth Manzoor Ahmed and attacks on household women in Hajin in north Kashmir's Bandipora district.
