Users will have the option to archive their favorite Facebook Stories before they expire after 24 hours.

The company just introduced a new set of updates for its camera-centric feature, but, unlike some previous updates, the features will roll out to users in India first. If you take photos or videos with Facebook's camera, the firm will now let you save your pictures to your Facebook account just like Google Photos or OneDrive offers. These photos and videos will not take up any additional space on the users' smartphones and they will be visible when users log into their Facebook accounts. Voice posts can be shared in the same way that Stories and News Feed posts are shared, Facebook said.

Facebook does not mention if there is a storage limit for unshared photos, but we can go ahead and assume that there isn't.

The big new change for Stories will be the option to save photos and videos for later.

Wibbitz, which uses artificial intelligence to create video content, is opening up its platform to brands and agencies, the company announced Wednesday. From Facebook Lite to Messenger Lite, Facebook's focus has been on optimising its platform for the masses which have low-end phones with slower networks and lesser storage.

Another upcoming feature will allow users to archive their Facebook Stories, not unlike Instagram's relatively new archiving feature. It is also possible for other people to share your voice posts on the News Feed.

The features will initially be available in India before coming to the rest of the world. The length of the voice posts will be limited to 20 seconds and just like regular story posts, they will disappear after 24 hours. "For a lot of people, audio is a very important way for them to express themselves and communicate", said Hayes.

The next new feature is that images captured using the Facebook camera can now automatically be uploaded to the Facebook cloud.

As the Voice Posts feature is highly inspired by voice messaging on WhatsApp, it works in a similar way. If users want, they can choose to not save them. Users will get an option whether they want to archive Stories. Facebook has also provided a dedicated screen that will appear after the recording is stopped to let you pick a background colour, background photo, text, doodle, or a sticker - matching the theme of your Voice Posts.

Facebook is rolling out three new features for Stories.
