McCain made news last week when he suggested that he did not want President Trump at his funeral, indicating that he preferred that Vice President Mike Pence represent the executive branch instead.

U.S. Senator John McCain, who is battling an aggressive form of brain cancer, is not expected to return to work, top Senate leader Orrin Hatch said on Monday.

"I'd like everybody to take a collective breath and chill out on my dad for a second - especially Orrin Hatch", McCain said on The View, which she co-hosts. "I like people who weren't captured". McCain said last fall that Trump has never apologized for the remark. The senator's final book, a memoir, is due to be released this month. The Times report says McCain's wishes have been communicated to the White House. McCain lost the race to Barack Obama.

Hatch's thoughts about McCain needing to invite Trump to his funeral are just the opposite of Congressman Gregory Meeks, who believes that McCain is asking Trump to stay away because he's not going to be a hypocrite. If U want to call something ridiculous, call Trump's disrespect of John McCain ridiculous!

They clashed again previous year, following the Republican Senator's comments on America's "half-baked, spurious nationalism" foreign policy.
