White House pushes back against reports that Kelly called Trump an 'idiot'

On Monday, White House chief of staff John Kelly released a statement attacking the mainstream media for their "total BS" report that he supposedly ridiculed President Trump and called him a "moron" during a closed-door meeting.

But the White House official pointed out a big difference between the Kelly incident and Tillerson - Kelly immediately denied the report and denounced it to the President's face.

Kelly is "on solid footing, but if the president asked him to move on, he would say, 'I've served my country three times now, ' move on, and be perfectly happy", Fuentes told the Examiner on Monday.

As The Hill details, Bornstein alleges that the three men associated with Trump were in his NY medical office for about 25 to 30 minutes and they left with the president's medical charts and lab reports.

"The officials said Kelly portrays himself to Trump administration aides as the lone bulwark against catastrophe, curbing the erratic urges of a president who has a questionable grasp on policy issues and the functions of government. He'll say it and you think, 'That is not what you should be saying'". "He always knows where I stand and he and I both know this story is total BS", Kelly said in a statement distributed by the White House.

Conte backs Cahill for England World Cup spot
Chelsea are set for a spot in next season's Europa League, with the Blues fifth in the Premier League. But Blues boss Conte believes Cahill deserves the chance to re-establish himself.

President Donald Trump's longtime bodyguard showed up without notice at the office of Trump's personal doctor shortly after inauguration and took all of the President's medical records, the doctor told NBC News on Tuesday.

Multiple sources have told CNN that Trump is increasingly frustrated with Kelly, and a senior administration official said Monday that the feeling goes both ways.

In October, NBC had reported that then secretary of state Rex Tillerson - who was sacked by Trump in March - had called the president a "moron" in front of colleagues.

The report also suggested the chief of staff holds that women are generally more emotional than men, and he said so once in the president's presence. "Tillerson declined to do so, simply saying he wouldn't play that Washington game".

Kelly arrived to a chaotic White House, after Priebus's exit, that allowed walk-in access to the president to a number of aides and family members such as daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner. "He has referred to Trump as "an idiot" multiple times to underscore his point, according to four officials who say they've witnessed the comments".
