Donald Trump has revealed that three American detainees in North Korea are on their way back to the USA after being released by Kim Jong-un. "They seem to be in good health".

However, a seat at the table with Mr Trump would be the ultimate prize - a sign Kim Jong-un and his regime is respected around the world, and also that North Korea is a nuclear player.

Until now, the only American released by North Korea during Mr Trump's presidency has been Otto Warmbier, a 22-year-old university student who returned to the United States in a coma last summer after 17 months of captivity.
