The Warriors defeating the Cavaliers to win their second straight title might already feel like a forgone conclusion, but there's still plenty of bets to be placed to help make the NBA Finals compelling for sports fans looking for an extra incentive to watch.

So as Round 4 of the record-setting rivalry begins Thursday night, has Warriors-Cavaliers become too much of a good thing?

Only three players have more trips to the final than James - Boston legend Bill Russell with a record 12, his 1960s dynasty teammate Sam Jones at 11 and all-time National Basketball Association career scoring leader Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with 10. Pluto says that should make Golden State more vulnerable. For all of James' supernatural, otherworldly ability to dominate as a 33-year-old in his 15th National Basketball Association season, he'll need more help than he received in the Eastern Conference finals.

It's why JR Smith remains Cleveland's starting shooting guard despite his measly average of 8.5 points on 35.6 percent shooting this postseason.

How the Cavaliers can win: James being spectacular is a prerequisite, and Cleveland needs to bring the same defensive effort that carried the Cavs in the Game 7 win at Boston.

"I don't compare them". A big three consisting of James, Paul and James Harden could be enough to dethrone Golden State in the Western Conference. Kevin Durant won the award past year and Iguodala won it in 2015, but before anyone gets too far down that road, it would be wise to remember that LeBron James won it in 2016 as his team upset the heavily-favored Warriors, who had gotten off to a 3-1 start in the series.

Certainly for Texas-based Kinder Morgan, the pipeline's current owner, Tuesday's announcement is good news. He said that shareholders would receive a "fair price" for the assets.

It probably goes without saying that this would be great news for the Cavs. Michael won six. So what?

James said he started having doubts about the Cavs last summer. They beat the Cavaliers both times they met in the 2017-18 regular season - 99-92 on Christmas Day in Oakland and 118-108 at Quicken Loans Arena on Martin Luther King Day.

"Teams have had opportunities to beat the Warriors over the last four years".

That injury will keep him out of the at least the first game of the Finals, which is a huge loss for the Warriors, as he guards LeBron James when in the game.

That was the theme of a conference call this week with ESPN NBA Finals analysts Jeff Van Gundy and Mark Jackson as reporters probed the former coaches to try to figure out if they were bored with the matchup.
