The trailer reveals the documentary to be largely narrated by the late Robin Williams himself, as the trailer starts with him saying "Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to enter the human mind".

HBO's Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind, which also reportedly features Eric Idle, Whoopi Goldberg, David Letterman and Pam Dawber, is scheduled to air on July 16. On August 11th of that year news emerged that beloved comedian and actor Robin Williams had taken his own life.

Robin Williams was an award-winning actor, comedian and literally one of the funniest people in the world.

"Offstage, I just felt he was holding himself together", Williams' son Zak is also featured in the clip.

Directed by Marina Zenovich, the new documentary is very much a "life and times" affair, focusing on the good, the bad, and the hard struggles that came with Williams' legendary career. "Every person is driven by some deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, deep secret", Williams says in a voice-over. The network describes it as, "A amusing, intimate and heartbreaking portrait of one of the world's most beloved and inventive comedians".

Come Inside My Mind does feature Williams uttering other bits of (resurfaced interview) wisdom, including "You're only given a little spark of madness, and if you lose that, you're nothing".

The documentary compiles footage of Williams - interviews, performances, and even childhood photos - and speaks to many of his peers in the comedy community as well as his family.
