Apple surprised its fans on Thursday morning with the quiet announcement of the new MacBook Pro models.

Apple wants to clean house and encourage users to buy one of the newest MacBook Pros, all of which were quietly announced today.

Pricing for the refreshed 13-inch Touch Bar MacBook Pro starts at $1799 for the 2.2 GHz model and $1999 for the 2.6 GHz model.

Apple could release new iPad Pro models that feature an edge-to-edge screen and Apple's facial recognition technology, FaceID.

The new 15-inch MacBook Pro now features a faster more powerful 8th-generation 6 core Intel Core processor, which the company claims can deliver 70 percent faster performance.

Each product is expected to get upgraded chips, which many are speculating to be new Intel eigth-generation processors, while the iMac could see 'significant display-performance upgrades, ' according to 9to5Mac.

In addition to graphics and computational acceleration, the Blackmagic eGPU is also a docking hub for connecting devices such as keyboards, mice, Thunderbolt monitors, big screen HDMI televisions, high-speed storage and more.

Targeting editors, VFX artists and colorists - especially users of DaVinci Resolve and its all-in-one toolkit - Blackmagic Design said it has started shipping the Blackmagic eGPU, an external graphics processor for MacBook Pros designed in collaboration with (and available exclusively through) Apple. Apple has to prove to professionals and consumers alike that it cares about the Mac and that it's worth paying its premium prices. The MacBook Pro models come with Touch Bar feature as well, which was introduced back in 2016 when these were launched.

Additionally, Kuo said Apple may release a new low-priced laptop, similar to the MacBook Air, but likely rebranded in a new way. The 15-inch model will now also be offered with up to 32 GB of DDR4 RAM, double the maximum amount of the older model - the 13-inch model however is still stuck with 16 GB of LPDDR3 RAM.

It also features the T2 SoC and True Tone Retina display. However, the new models still use a butterfly keyboard, and those who find them uncomfortable to type on will likely be sad to learn of the retirement of the only non-butterfly MacBook Pro option.

Unfortunately, these updates only affect the models with Touch Bars and there's no word as to if or when Apple will update the non-Touch Bar MacBook Pros.
