Roger Stone Communicated With Russian Hackers, Mueller Indictment Suggests

Earlier Friday, Stone acknowledged to CNN that an exchange in the indictment matches messages he previously released, but initially maintained that he did not believe that he is the unnamed person in the indictment. In the brief exchange, the hacker told the Trump ally: "Thank u for writing u find anyt [h] ing in the docs i posted?'"

"I think Roger is conspiratorial", he said.

"On our about June 27, 2016, the Conspirators, posing as Guccifer 2.0, contacted a USA reporter with an offer to provide stolen emails from 'Hillary Clinton's staff.' The Conspirators then sent the reporter the password to access a nonpublic, password-protected portion of containing emails stolen from Victim 1, by Lukashev, Yermakov, and their co-conspirators in or around March 2016".

"I think that they're referencing Roger", Nunberg said Friday evening. "I was not in regular contact with campaign officials", he said in the CNN interview.

Referring to remarks from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on Friday, Stone said, "Look, Rosenstein said in his comments that they knew of no crime by USA citizens". Stone, during the 2016 campaign, was also in touch with WikiLeaks, which published thousands of the stolen Democratic emails online, and is believed to be the "Organization 1" mentioned in Friday's indictments, as Vox also reported.

At this time, the Mueller indictment indicated that only one reporter was directly contacted by Russian intelligence about access to stolen documents.

Duke and Duchess of Sussex meet President Higgins
A cheeky toddler couldn't resist touching the Duchess of Sussex's hair during her visit to Dublin's Croke Park on Wednesday. It's interesting to note that Meghan appeared to have eschewed tights on this occasion, breaking with royal protocol.

These Russians created internet personas-Guccifer 2.0 and DCLeaks-which falsely claimed to be a lone Romanian hacker and a website started by a group of American hackers, respectively.

Federal Bureau of Investigation special counsel Robert Mueller's latest round of indictments, against 12 Russian intelligence operatives, has a slew of Florida connections, including naming the source of the 2016 leaks against some Florida Democrats, including Gwen Graham.

"Leaking after the fact", Stone added, "impossible".

Stone downplayed the significance of his contact with Guccifer 2.0, calling the exchange "benign based on its content, context and timing". Trump asked Russian Federation to hack his opponent, and Russian Federation did "f$3 or the first time", as the indictment says.

"This exchange is entirely public and provides no evidence of collaboration or collusion with Guccifer 2.0 or anyone else in the alleged hacking of the DNC emails, as well as taking place many weeks after the events described in today's indictment", Stone said. "The conspirators responded using the Guccifer 2.0 persona and sent the candidate stolen documents related to the candidate's opponent".
