Legend is the first African-American man to become an EGOT - the acronym used for an Emmy, Golden Globe, Oscar, and Tony victor - according to Buzzfeed. Legend passed EGOT status over the weekend when he picked up an Emmy - along with Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, also who turned EGOT - for their role as executive producers on the live television performance of the hit musical 'Jesus Christ Superstar'.

This win meant that he joined an exclusive club of performers who have won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony.

Legend is the joint youngest person to receive the accolade. Of course, Legend also starred in Jesus Christ Superstar and is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie. He has won an Oscar for Best Original Song for his song "Glory", which featured in the 2014 film Selma. Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, producers of the OG JCS, also joined this group after Sunday's win.
